Dr. Brinna Lee
Dr. Brinna Lee (she/her) received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Michigan’s Mary A. Rackham Institute. Her training across a wide range of clinical settings deepened her passion for ensuring that clients from all backgrounds receive excellent care. She finds her work most rewarding when supporting individuals representing a broad spectrum of racial, ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, gender, and disability identities.
Dr. Lee is known for her direct and honest approach, balanced with deep compassion and nonjudgmental support. She centers therapy on each person’s uniquely held values, helping them navigate life’s inevitable challenges while moving toward a meaningful life.
Committed to a collaborative therapeutic relationship, Dr. Lee is responsive to feedback, ensuring that her clients feel truly heard. With a touch of humor, she fosters a warm, engaging environment for clients to fully explore their experiences. Dr. Lee is committed to providing therapy that is grounded in evidence-based practices, which she thoughtfully integrates to create a therapeutic experience that is effective, deeply personalized, and tailored to the complexities of each individual’s life. She primarily approaches therapy from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework, drawing on her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Radically Open and traditional Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure Therapies.
Her areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depression, interpersonal issues, life transitions, identity issues, dysregulated eating, body image concerns, sexuality related stress, and high levels of self-criticism/perfectionism. She specializes in working with adults of all ages in individual therapy.
