Timber Creek Counseling is pleased to announce we were selected as a State of Michigan COVID-19 Workplace Safety grant recipient. The goal of the grant is to decrease the risk of Covid–19 spread through safety and health-related equipment and training by providing funding to small businesses.
“These grants support Michigan’s small businesses in efforts to establish safer and healthier work environments,” Bart Pickelman, MIOSHA director said.
Examples of how grant funding may be utilized:
Purchasing supplies and materials such as sneeze guards, physical barriers, face coverings, and handwashing/hygiene stations.
Purchasing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face shields, face masks, and desk shields.
Training to educate employees about the spread and dangers of COVID-19.
At Timber Creek Counseling we strive to do our part to keep our clients, employees, and community safe. We are thrilled to learn our COVID-19 Workplace Safety plan met the guidelines for this grant and they saw the efforts we are making to keep safety as a top priority.
